My Process: I am a firm believer in designs being rooted in research and inspiration images. After reading, re reading and re reading the script, I start with research. If the piece is historical, so is my research, if it is more modern or surreal I pull from other sources such as inspirational images and paintings that fit within my idea of the design. I want each and every process to be as collaborative as possible while maintaining the vision of the piece as a whole. I love discussing ideas with my fellow designers and directors and continuing to collaborate throughout the entire process. Once the vision is established, the research is completed, and discussions have happened, I begin putting pencil to paper and rendering my design.
